This website is "unofficial" and has been produced by Dave Cushman, hopefully with agreement and support from the committee of trustees. Dave is a long standing member of the association and a serving trustee, but any views expressed are his own... Neither he or this website represent L&RBKA. |
|---|
| Like all of Dave Cushman's work there is an element of
experiment and constant development, this website is very much "work in progress". |

This has been our badge since 1882 when we were first founded. It has been pointed out that there are only four legs showing on the insect. The flower is intended to represent white clover. We provide a series of monthly meetings during the Winter. Practical demonstrations are arranged at various shows and events, using a specially developed bee tent that contains the flying bees. We operate a teaching apiary on Tuesday evenings during the summer months and queen rearing workshops are sometimes run on a few consecutive Saturday mornings. |
|
|---|
On some Saturdays we have special events:-
we have an 'Apiary Crawl' and we also have a couple of 'Disease Recognition' days.
Other beekeeping associations sometimes send groups to visit and swap ideas.
The 'Contact' button in the strap below will give details of how to communicate with our current secretary. If you have any comments about this website or have noticed any errors, then you should Email me personally as the compiler of the website.
