Experiments and trials that have been suggested for individual beekeepers to pursue so that their combined data may be of use to a wider group.
In the hope that many small trials in various different regions, using differing bees, but similar methods, may yield results that are meaningful in their own right or may goad the "establishment" to follow up with trials of such standard that they will accept the results obtained.
The Santa Group, was formed on the above ethic, but as of September 2006 (when this page was upgraded) there has been little constructive work apart from some ongoing investigation into mite damaging behaviour performed by James Kilty and the Cornish Group.
