Sandra Unwin is a lively young lady that has a passion for native bees, she has
been an active committee member of BIBBA and at the time of initial writing this page was breeding
groups secretary of BIBBA.
Sandra is shown here doing a spot of grafting at the open day held by Michael
Collier at his commercial apiary, Cornbrook Bee Farm, in July 2007.
Sandra Unwin writes articles for inclusion in bee magazines like Bee Craft and Bee Improvement.
Sandra keeps her bees in Oldham, which is her home, Bee breeding, particularly of native Apis mellifera mellifera is her main interest
Sandra took on the job of Groups Secretary for BIBBA when Albert Knight became unable to continue in that role, I always thought that Sandra would come quite close to filling Albert's shoes, I would like to see her get a chance of that in the future. as I believe that she has the dedication and drive that is needed to carry BIBBA forward into the future.
