Extracting the Honey |

Part of beekeeping is the processing of honey that the bees have gathered. Participation in this event was a reward for diligence in doing some history research.
The extracting took place on 20th June 2001.

The first two pictures show de capping of the comb with a serrated knife. The frame is held in an upright position by the lug being inserted into a hole which is in a wooden board laid across the stainless steel container, this container has electric heating elements in it's lower portion. | ||
