Booking Form Gormanston 2007 |
Bus Timetable for Dublin, Dublin Airport and The Huntsman |
|---|
A time table of bus journeys that are relevant for those travelling to and from the FIBKA Gormanston Conference and Dublin Airport.
This page was completely re-compiled for 2006 with up to date information that was checked on 19th December 2005, but many changes have occurred since, they were correct as of July 2009. The .pdf files were generated by Bus Éireann for the relevant journeys between Gormanston Cross and Dublin Airport. Not all services that are in these timetables will pick up and set down at the places concerned, so when getting on the buss, please confirm with the driver that you will be able to get off at your required destination. I think all services pick up and set down at the airport end automatically, but you must ask if you can be set down at the 'Huntsman pub at Gormanston Cross'.
Service 100X
Be Careful !, This service is 'Limited Stop'... Ask the driver before boarding or placing luggage in the hold, if they stop at Gormanston Cross. Most times this service by-passes Gormanston, but you can get a local bus to Gormanston from Drogheda

Service 101
This is likely to be the most useful to Summer School attendees.

Dublin - Drogheda - Dundalk service run by BUS ÉIREANN. The airport bus stop is number 8 on Atrium Road, which is the new stand as of July 2007, the old stop on 'arrivals road' was the left of the passenger exit but the new one is though the multi-story car park. The No 101 service is the route that uses the old main roads rather than the motorway (which does not directly service Gormanston). Some of the stops, including the one at the Huntsman are only 'by request' so you need to ask the driver to be let off at 'the Huntsman' or if travelling from Gormanston to the Airport please ensure that you signal to the approaching bus, otherwise it will not stop. There are other services that run from the same stop, including the express service to Belfast, but these use a different route that does not go past Gormanston. |
